Course Description:
Have you ever wondered about the differences among the world’s religions? How do religions compare within Christianity itself? This course will spend the first three sessions talking about the major divisions within Christianity: Eastern Orthodox, Roman, Catholic, and the various Protestant traditions. The last four sessions will discuss the four major world religions apart from Christianity: Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. If time allows we will also have some time to discuss cults.
The class will be seven weeks long and will be held on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30 PM at MLHS. The dates are April 6, 13, 20, 27; May 4, 11, 18. There is no cost. If you would like to participate please sign-up by contacting Renae Johnson at Renae.johnson@mayerlutheran.org or 952-657-2251 Ext. 1002.
Book List: There are no books necessary for this course. Class handouts will be provided.
