Celebrate His Harvest was truly a celebration! Student speakers Joe Welk and Reilly Schulz did an amazing job conveying how a Christ-centered education has shaped and blessed their individual lives in unique ways.
A celebration of all our willing students… The day before the event, many students helped with set up: rolling silverware, washing windows, setting tables and chairs and moving all the accumulated auction items—which were many! On the evening of the event, the Crusader Council headed up the games, appetizers and coat check. The boys and girls basketball teams waited on our guests in
the dining area. Following the event, the junior class helped in taking down and cleaning up from the event.
A celebration of the many parents of current and former students… These volunteers helped in different areas: procuring gifts, setting up tables, picking up desserts, feeding our volunteers and running other miscellaneous errands.
A celebration of the many Mayer Lutheran teachers… who offered up their time and talents as they donated various gifts to the event.
A celebration of the numerous donations… that came in from all over the state, evoking emotions of amazement, gratitude, and humbleness. At the culmination of the evening it was shown, once again, that the community at Mayer Lutheran is truly a special blessing and definitely something to celebrate! The focus of the celebration was not us, but a celebration focused on our good God above, who has provided many good gifts. So many of the gifts at Mayer Lutheran were joined in fellowship, under one roof, for a few hours—what a blessing! Thank you to everyone who lent a hand and played a part in our celebration!
