Mayer Lutheran’s Christian Leadership class challenges students to lead service projects within the Mayer Lutheran community and beyond. Recently one of the Christian Leadership groups decided to lead a school supplies drive to benefit the Kids in Need Foundation. This foundation’s mission is to ensure that every child is prepared to learn and succeed in the classroom by providing free school supplies nationally to students in need.
Shelby Gabbert (senior), Ellie Cha, Alexa Eggers, and Jackson Fisher (juniors) led the effort to get school supplies donated by students from Mayer Lutheran High School, St. John’s Lutheran School (NYA), Christ Community Lutheran School (Watertown), and St. James Lutheran School (Howard Lake). Their work yielded 9 boxes of school supplies that were shipped to the Kids in Need Foundation.
Well done, Christian leaders!
