Advent is a time of preparation for the birth of Jesus. Each December, Mayer Lutheran celebrates this time of anticipation with a Christmas concert. This year’s concert on Monday, December 16 at 7 PM features the MLHS Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir, Jazz Band, and Una Voce Deo.
The MLHS tradition is being kept alive as we close the concert worshiping our King as a mass choir performing Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. Please bring a copy of sheet music if desired. We will also have extra copies available. As the final Finale, we will all join in the singing of Silent Night. (German verse included.)
The art exhibit will feature art work from Mayer Lutheran High students taking Fundamentals of Art, Ceramics, Drawing, and Studio Arts classes.
The concert and art exhibit will be held in the MLHS Fine Arts Center. Admission is free.
