Crusader Teams Headed to State Tournament

For the first time in school history, both the volleyball and football teams are headed to the state tournament in the same year, thanks to victories in their section championships on Saturday, November 4th.

Crusader Football Team - Section 4A Champions

The Crusader football team defeated Upsala Swanville Area (USA) 28 to 0 on Saturday afternoon in St. Cloud to win the Section 4A championship. The Crusaders will continue their playoff run Saturday, November 11 at 3:00 PM when they will face Section 1 champion Goodhue at Shakopee High School.

Single session admission for the state football quarterfinals is $9 for adults and $6 for students.

There are presale tickets available in the MLHS Association Office. These will be available beginning Monday morning. Tickets are non-refundable.

Crusader Volleyball Team - Section 2A Champions

The Crusader volleyball team is the Section 2A champion, defeating Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Saturday evening 3 sets to 0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-6) at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. The Crusaders have received the #1 seed in the state tournament and will play at 1:00 PM on Thursday versus Cook County High School.

State Volleyball Tournament Information

The Class A tournament bracket can be found at  http://mshsl.org/mshsl/showbrackets.asp?tournid=2896

Single session admission for the state volleyball tournament at the XCEL Energy Center is $14 for adults and $9 for students.

There will be fan buses both Thursday and Friday. Students riding fan buses need money for the bus, for admission to the game, and concessions. Students can sign up for the fan bus in the association office. The cost is $5 per day and must be paid by Wednesday, Nov. 8. (Fan bus fees are non-refundable.)

Parents or grandparents are welcome to ride as well (they can pay when they get on the bus). Call Mrs. Loehrs x1003 or Mrs. Jopp x1001 to make your reservation.

What a blessing it is for our entire school community to have these two teams in the State Tournament!

GO CRUSADERS!
