The Beta Sigma Psi National Educational Foundation offers scholarships and grant opportunities for members of the Lutheran community. Scholarships for incoming freshmen in Fall 2022 are available at: any accredited 4-year College or University in the United States; Indiana University; Iowa State University; Ohio State University; Purdue University; University of Illinois; University of Missouri, University of Nebraska. Bird Island Hawk Creek is offering a $1,000 scholarship to five graduating seniors. One scholarship will be offered to one senior furthering their education in the agricultural field and the other four to seniors in a non-agricultural field. Application deadline: December 1, 2021. See the Guidance office for an application.

Glencoe Regional Health (GRH) offers a free Nursing Assistant Training program that works with your busy lifestyle. This flexible program can be completed in a few weeks and provides graduates with the skills they need to pass the state exam and start a rewarding career as a Certified Nursing Assistant with GRH. Carver County COIVD vaccinations:
**This is for your information if you are interested only, the vaccine is not required at this time.
Following CDC approval for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for 5-11-year-old children, Carver County Public Health plans to hold specific COVID-19 vaccine clinics with the Pfizer vaccine for children aged 5-17 years old only.
Dates: Tuesday, Nov. 9, 4-8 p.m.; Tuesday, Nov. 16, 4-8 p.m.
Location: Carver County Government Center (Township Hall), 600 E Fourth St, Chaska
Pfizer (5+) vaccine available
First and second vaccine doses available
Vaccine is free; no health insurance needed

Carver County Public Health also plans to host school-based COVID-19 vaccine clinics for the 5-17-year-old age group during the last weeks of November, one at a school in the western part of Carver County and another in the eastern part of Carver County. Once those plans are finalized, Public Health will communicate those clinic details through schools, its website (www.co.carver.mn.us/covid19vaccine) and its associated social-media channels.
