Volleyball on Thursday:
Show your support for Cancer Research by participating in our “Dig Pink” night. This year we thought it would be fun to connect the donations with the actions during the volleyball games.
Simply pick a team and a category, and pledge to support the players and cancer research. To keep things simple, may we suggest minimum $1 per stat (Example: 10 digs = $10). Have fun with it! Challenge the person sitting next to you. You can pledge for multiple categories and for more than one team. Stats will be updated at the end of each set. It’s “on your honor” to make your contribution at the end of the match. Thank you for participating and supporting cancer research!
Football on Friday:
This Friday night’s game is Tackle Cancer Night. We have a number of cool events planned for another exciting football night. Fans attending the game can make donations towards cancer research and “tackling cancer”. The Captain’s parents are also planning to have a brief moment of silence prior to the game and allow the boys to share a name of a family member, friend, or someone in their life that has been impacted by cancer. There will be baked items for sale, as well as glow in the dark bracelets and necklaces. During halftime, you will be able to try and kick a field goal and also try to throw the longest pass. It will cost you one dollar to try and make the field goal, so just like basketball shooting free throw contest, we hope to see if you can kick a field goal or throw the longest pass for $1.00. Please don’t be shy.
Plan to join us tonight and Friday to cheer on the Crusaders and raise some money for a good cause. Go Crusaders!
