The Mayer Lutheran High School theater program is proud to present The Sound of Music. This classic, popular musical featuring the famous songs: “Edelweiss”, “Do-Re-Mi,” and “My Favorite Things” was originally produced on Broadway in 1959 by Rogers and Hammerstein. This musical is based on the story of the Von Trapp family as told in the memoir of Maria von Trapp. Performances will be held on November 17 and 18 at 7:00 PM and 2:30 PM on November 19. (Note time change for Sunday performance) Tickets available at the door. General admissions – $10.00 adults and $7.00 students.
Important information regarding the football game:
- We will run fan buses for the game on Saturday. Cost is $5.00 All are invited to ride the bus. Riding the bus will help avoid parking issues at the stadium. You may sign up in the Association Office with Karen or Renae. You can also sign up by emailing me directly. Please sign up early in the week so we can plan for the number of buses we need. Fan buses will depart Mayer Lutheran at 9:45am to allow plenty of time to arrive and get into the stadium.
- Just a quick reminder to get your football tickets prior to noon tomorrow or you will need to purchase them at US Bank Stadium. Cost $14.00 Adults and $9.00 Students
- Also, if you have red and black poms that you borrowed for any game this year, please bring them and return them following the game as we use those from year to year.

Zion Lutheran Extended care is seeking a self-motivated individual who loves kids to serve as an afternoon supervisor. Hours are from 3-6 pm on weekdays. Responsibilities include supervision of children both indoors and outdoors (play, homework, and crafting), serving a light snack, tidying and light cleaning, administering minor first aid as needed. Must be at least 15 years of age and enjoy working with children, plus have reliable transportation. Celebrate His Harvest Event – In order to help make this event a success, we are asking every student/student family to donate $25 towards the event again this year. Please have your student drop off their donation in the Association Office so their name can be marked off.
Scholarships – November 15, 2017
BigSun Scholarship The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Deadline – June 19, 2018
Amount of Award – $500.00
The successful applicant will be a high school senior or be attending a post-secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution or in the community.
