Crusader girls basketball player Emilee Gustin passed the 1,000-point mark in scoring last Thursday, February 9, in a game against Sibley East. It also happened to be parents night, making Emilee’s achievement even more special, although her father, Kris Gustin, most likely wouldn’t have missed the milestone no matter when it happened, since he’s also the MLHS girls basketball coach.
MLHS alumnus Kip Kovar, the sports editor of the Herald Journal, wrote a nice story about Emilee and her father sharing that special moment. You can read that article online at the Herald Journal Blog.
Congratulations, Emilee!
