Host families are families who would like to experience an exciting cultural exchange and broaden their perspectives on the world. They are excited to share American culture, language, and values to a student from across the globe, and are therefore, the most important people in an exchange student’s life. Their guidance and love allows the student the most memorable, unforgettable experience, not only by sharing their lives, but also by sharing God’s love with a young child from across the globe. What better way to make a difference in the world- one child at a time!
The students arrive with round-trip airline tickets, complete medical insurance, tuition, school fees and personal spending money for the duration of their stay. The exchange students show appreciation to the host family with a monetary gift for the academic year.To apply to be a KoAm host family, please contact KoAm National Coordinator, Mrs. Haewon Park at 800-521-6640 and/or by email at administrator@koameduall.org. or contact Kevin Wilaby at 952-657-2251 X 1008 or kwilaby@lhsmayer.org.
