With the theme of When You Wish Upon a Star, the 2019 Mayer Lutheran SnoFest Coronation was held on Monday, February 11 in the MLHS Fine Arts Auditorium. The evening included the introduction of the court by Emcees Kaleb Winter and Mitchell Thiesfeld; reports by student representatives from sports teams, drama, dance, robotics, the MLHS mission trip, and Quiz Bowl Knowledge Bowl; court games; and – of course – the crowning of the SnoFest king and queen.
The senior court participated in a lively boys against girls game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. The losing senior boy or girl had to choose a card with instructions on it, and then do whatever those instructions said. The audience enjoyed watching attempts at singing songs, telling jokes, answering questions (like “Have you ever fallen asleep in church?”), and other fun, light-hearted activities.
The ceremony concluded with the crowning of Kevin Woo Kim as 2019 SnoFest King and Delanie Lundgren as SnoFest Queen.
