The MLHS One Act production of Orphan Trains finished third at the Section 4A subsection competition held at Rockford High School on Saturday, January 28. Seven schools performed, with the top two places going to Legacy Christian Academy’s production of John Lennon and Me and Litchfield High School’s production of Booby Trap. The top two plays advance to the Section 4A finals Saturday, February 4 at St. Paul Academy.
“I’m very proud of the cast and crew for their hard work,” said Tim Bode (class of ’76), the director of Orphan Trains. “Although it would have been exciting to move on to the Section finals, a third place finish among some excellent competition is a great way to start up the One Act program at Mayer Lutheran again.”
