Though we don’t have a lot of intel from the mission trippers yet, here’s what we DO know:
All is going well!
They traveled safely to El Paso and have been crossing the border two times each day to build four new casas (houses) for Anapra families. They have been working long, hard days and many of the houses are nearly complete! It has been very cold (and snowy) but the weather has apparently not hampered productivity.
The team had Sunday off to hike and explore and parents at home in Minnesota were thrilled to catch glimpses of their kids on social media. Apparently Snapchat and Instagram are a lot more fun than texting home… 🙂
Many of the team members have been on previous trips serving the Ysleta Mission. Today marks the day that those team members will get to meet families living in the Casas they built on previous trips! What an amazing opportunity for them.
Please keep the team in your prayers as they work hard to finish up their houses before returning home later this week. Pray for safe travels! We will update you all again with more photos from the trip after they return.
To everyone else, welcome back and have a great J-Term!
