FAQs What do I do if my child is sick with COVID-19?
Please have your child stay home. Contact the school by emailing attendance@mayerlutheran.org. Mayer Lutheran will assist families in determining when it is safe for the student to return to campus.
Am I required to wear a mask?
Mask use is required due to the Governor’s Executive Order 20-81. Exceptions exist in choir, band, physical education, and for some medical conditions as denoted by the Governor’s order. As mandates and guidance with respect to masks changes, we will adjust expectations with respect to mask use.
Can parents visit the school campus?
Parents are asked to restrict visits to campus. If there is a reason that requires a visit to campus, a health screening will occur.
Will Mayer Lutheran shutdown if a student or employee gets a positive COVID-19 diagnosis?
Our hope would be to avoid a shutdown. In order to care for our students and employees, Mayer Lutheran and local health officials will collaborate on the best plan of action if a shutdown would need to be considered. We will do our best to communicate with our families in the event of a positive COVID-19 case in our school, while still respecting the confidentially of those involved.
